WI Members Keep Busy During Lock Down



March 2019

Renee Watt came and gave us a taster session of Line Dancing! A good time was had by all!


Fun Night

A skittles fun night with games and prizes was arranged by Josseline to hopefully recruit some new members to our team!

2019 February Meeting

Tommy Gardner & Amanda Taylor came and gave a very informative talk on
CYNTHIA SPENCER HOSPICE.
They told us of the day to day workings of the hospital and also the fundraising that they do.

2019 January Meeting

ROBERT AGAR
came along and gave us a demonstration of
Tai Chi for Fitness, Health & Self Defence.

2018 CHRISTMAS PARTY

Our Party was once again held at the Grangewood Club

We were entertained by Catherine,  Pat & Elaine singing "Sisters".
The Competition this year was a Table Decoration and our Winner was Josseline.

November 2018 Meeting

Sue Ward and her helper, Sue, came along with a jewellery stall with items to sell and also beads so that we could all make a three-strand bracelet during the evening.

Oct 2018 AGM

After the AGM business was completed (Committee remaining the same) we had a very exciting game of Beetle.
Helen very kindly donated a raffle prize worth £160... a Family Photo Shoot.
Jan Holmes was the very lucky winner.

We've been Published...!!!

WI's were asked if they did anything at their meetings that was different.
This was our submission and was obviously found to be a good idea, so we made it into the Magazine - WI Life!

A very informative talk given by
HELEN  FROST
and nearly all our members didn't realise that the Women's Land Army was actually formed
in the first World War.
Also that their uniform could be purchased from Harrods and other such high-end stores...!!!

AGM 2017

Presentation of flowers from our new President (right) - Dawn Chapman to retiring President - Margaret Bailey.
Margaret was thanked by all Members for all the work she has done over the past three years.
Beryl Henman is unfortunately leaving the village.  She has been a Member for a number of years and was at one time our Treasurer.
Linda Patterson is unfortunately stepping down as a Committee Member.
