Passionate about Pasta

Who knew it would be soooo easy to make Pasta - or so it seemed when demonstrated by
BARBARA EVEREST of
Mama's Handmade Pasta, Northampton
Barbara showed how you can make and flavour pasta with almost anything.  She is seen here demonstrating pasta made with the addition of spinach to give the green colour...
She brought along some dessert pasta she had made earlier - flavoured with chocolate.
As you can see by the expression on Elaine's face...  it had a distinct chocolate aroma!!!
Barbara also brought with her several bags of different coloured/flavoured pasta from marigold leaves to beetroot, which we could purchase.
All in all... a very informative evening.

Ten Pin Bowling

There were 10 of us who descended on Sixfields Ten Pin Bowling last night.  They put us on lanes 3 & 4... probably thinking we were out of the way down the far end!!!
These lanes have a reputation for going wrong.  Little did they know we are not the usual WI ladies group... we are recycled teenagers with a degree in common sense and experience of life.
We were calling the maintenance lads out every few minutes because something was going wrong on the lanes.
Towards the end of our games, Trish had had enough and went to complain.
She came back with the Manager who offered to change us to different lanes.
We were not happy bunnies with this offer and asked was anything else available?
She then offered us all a free voucher to go again which we have accepted - so we will be visiting them again the near future for another fun night out.
In spite of things going wrong, we all had a good time.
